2012 Club Season

Here is a brief look at the opportunities we provide for the club season:

  • National Teams:
    18-1, 18-2, 18-3, 17-1, 17-2, 17-3, 16-1, 16-2, 16-3
    15-1, 15-2, 15-3, 14-1, 14-2, 14-3, 13-1, 13-2, 12-1, 12-2
These teams compete in approximately 2 tournaments per month from January thru the end of June. Most tournaments are local; however, they will play in some out of town tournaments, almost all of which are within driving distance. These teams practice 3 times per week. All players will receive a jersey package, spandex, socks, knee pads, backpack, warm-up top and bottom, membership to our health club and recruiting aids.

  • Power Teams:
    16-4, 16-5, 15-4, 15-5, 15-6, 14-4, 14-5, 14-6, 13-3
These teams compete in approximately 2 tournaments per month from Jan thru the beginning of June. Almost all tournaments are local. Depending on the decision of the team, they may travel to an out of town tournament or two that is within a 3 hour drive. These teams practice twice a week and all players will receive 2 jerseys, spandex, socks, knee pads, backpack, warm-up top and bottom, membership to our health club and recruiting aids.

  • Regional Teams:
We will have a regional team for the 13 and 12 and unders. These two teams are for those kids that are looking for an opportunity to do more than just a clinic. This will be the 4th year we have done a third 12 and under team and the second year we have done a fourth 13 and under team and it has been a huge success. We will not make any cuts for these two teams. Anyone that wants to be a part of these teams can. If we have too many kids, we will practice together, but when the tournaments come around we will divide the kids up.

Anyone that would like to be a part of either of these teams should still attend tryouts. It's a great way to play some volleyball and get some instruction at no additional cost. If for some reason you can't attend tryouts, it's not a problem, you will just need to notify us that you would like to join the regional program when we start Jan 6th. Anyone that tries out for the National or Power team and does not make it is more than welcome to play on the regional team.

The cost for the entire season is $650 for the 12 and under regional team and $700 for the 13 and under regional team. There are no additional costs for these teams. Your fees will include 5 tournaments, uniform top, spandex, USAV membership and all of your practices. The first practice will be January 6th. Practices will be Mondays and Fridays from 5:30 to 7pm. The season will conclude with the Midwest Power League Tournament in April.

  • Friday Night Developmental Program:
This program is available for 1st thru 5th graders and there are no try-outs for this program. This program is a great introduction to volleyball. We will have two sessions and you may sign up for one or both of the sessions.

    • Session 1 will be nine weeks meeting Friday's from 6pm to 7:30pm. The cost for Session 1 is $180. The following are the dates for Session 1:
      • Jan 13th, 20th, 27th
      • Feb 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
      • March 2nd, 9th
    • Session 2 will be five weeks meeting Friday's from 6pm to 7:30pm. The following are the dates for Session 2:
      • March 30th
      • April 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
Each participant will receive a t-shirt. If you would like to participate, please contact us or sign-up online.

Tournament Schedules for 2012

Circle City works very hard with each team's players and parents in order to make an affordable and appropriate schedule for their team. While other clubs try to limit their schedules to either JVA or USA events, we will do what is best for each individual team. In 2012 USA Junior Nationals will be held in Columbus, OH. This will provide a great opportunity close to home for our teams that qualify for Nationals. None of our teams last year participated in tournaments that were not within a reasonable driving distance. Other clubs claim that we are more expensive because we participate in USA Volleyball, but this is incorrect. While we do support USA Volleyball and the US National Teams by registering our teams with USA Volleyball, we work hard at running tournaments almost every week and this helps us keep our fees significantly lower at all levels than any of the other major clubs in the area. We also have comparable or fewer hotel room nights per player and our teams do not travel any more or any further than those clubs. If you would like a detailed cost comparison between our club and any other, we will gladly provide it.
