
This will be Chris’s 5th year at Circle City. Last year his 15-Purple team won the Regional Qualifer and finished 3rd at Nationals in the National Division. The 15-Purple team also finished 5th in Open at the MHMEQ Qualifier. The two years prior to that, Chris's 13 Purple teams have qualified for Nationals. Two years ago his team won the Regional qualifier and finished top 20 in the nation at USAJ Nationals. Prior to Chris coming to Circle he coached at the Sky High Volleyball Club for 3 years. In those 3 years Chris coached a variety of teams between the 15’s and 17’s age level. He also coached the 17-1’s boys team for 2 years. He finished 5th at the Great Lakes Qualifier, 9th at Asics Nationals and won the Bronze at USAJ Nationals.
This past year Chris was the youth coordinator at Circle City. He was in charge of organizing the camps and recruiting young athletes to play at Circle. Prior to that Chris coached high school as the Head Coach at Monrovia High School for two years. During his tenor there his team was WCC Co-Conference champs and he finished with a 28-31 record over two seasons. Prior to coaching at Monrovia he coached at Bloomington H.S. North for 2 years, one year as a head coach and an assistant coach the year before that. As a head coach he finished the season with a 24-8 record and was the Conference Indiana Champs. Chris was also an assistant for 3 years at St. Viator H.S. in Illinois from 2002-2004 and assisted the boys program in 2003.
Chris’s career includes playing at Schaumburg H.S. in Illinois from ‘94-’97 losing in the sweet sixteen his senior year. He also played club at Western Illinois University in ‘98 finishing 9th at NIRSA Nationals. He competed in USAV from’00-’03. In ‘01 he finished 5th and in ‘02 he finished 1st at Nationals in the BB level. Chris also competed on the beach and grass from ‘96-’03, winning many tournaments at the A/AA level. In ‘97 he finished 3rd at the Junior AVP in Chicago.
