Kosmo has coached at the Circle City volleyball club for 9 season. He has trained players at all ages and skill levels for the past 31 years.
A licensed referee for 23 years, Mobareki has also been an IHSAA clinician. During his career, Mobareki has worked 16 sectionals, 16 regionals, and five state finals along with numerous collegiate and professional matches. Kosmo is also a USA National referee for indoor and beach. He has worked numerous NCAA and AVP men’s and woman’s matches.
Kosmo is a member of the Fall Creek Officials Association, for whom he has also served as a clinician and rules interpreter for several years. He served as volleyball chairman from 1992-94 as well as volleyball president from 1994-98. Mobareki was selected for this honor by a committee representing the official’s associations. In Indiana, there are 26 associations made up of men and women who give up much of their personal time to assist in providing wholesome, worthwhile, and healthy activities for the student athletes in our state. Statewide, there are more than 8,000 officials licensed by the IHSAA in 11 sports.
Kosmo played on the Italian National team in several international events and was selected MVP three times. He is a 1980 graduate of the University of Chicago, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. He currently works for Bleeker Law Firm in the Investigation and Research Department.
