This will be Chris’s 10th year at Circle City. The last six years at nationals, Chris has two 3rd place finishes, a 5th, an 11th, a 19th, and a 23rd place finish in the country. He coached the 13-1’s, 15-1’s (three times), 16-1’s, and 17-1’s during that span. In 2013 and 2014, his 15 Nike Elite teams finished 1st and 2nd at the Central Zone Invite, 1st and 2nd at the St Louis President’s Day Tournament, a 1st and 5th at the Mid East National Qualifier, 2nd place finish at the Central Zone Championships, 2nd and 5th at the Great Lakes Pre National Tournament, 7th at the Crossroads National Qualifier in 2013, and a 9th place finish at the Northeast Qualifier in 2014 before finishing 19th in the Open Division at Nationals in 2013 and 23rd in the Open Division at Nationals is 2014. Prior to Chris coming to Circle he coached at Sky High Volleyball Club for 3 years. In those 3 years, Chris coached a variety of teams between the 15’s and 17’s age level including coaching the 17-1’s boys team for 2 years.
Chris is currently the head coach at Cardinal Ritter High School. From 2009-2013, Chris was the head coach at Franklin Community High School and prior to that, he coached at Monrovia & Bloomington North for 2 years. At Bloomington he was a head coach for one year, and an assistant coach the year before that. As a head coach, he was Conference Indiana Champs, West Central Conference Champs, Indiana Crossroads Conference Champs, Johnson County Champs, and Sectional Champs in 2011. Chris was also an assistant for 3 years at St. Viator H.S. in Illinois and was mentored by club director Lance Keating during that time. He also assisted the boys program in 2003.
Chris’s career includes playing at Schaumburg H.S. in Illinois from ‘94-‘97 losing in the sweet sixteen his senior year. He also played club at Western Illinois University in ‘98 finishing 9th at NIRSA Nationals. He competed in USAV from ‘00-‘03. In ‘01 he finished 5th and in ‘02 he finished 1st at Nationals. Chris also competed on the beach and grass from ‘96-‘03, winning many tournaments at the A/AA level. In ‘97 he finished 3rd at the Junior AVP in Chicago.
Chris Due recently got married to Kelly Crowe. He also has a 3 year old daughter, Jordyn.
